Research

My ethnographic-based research relates to an array of topics including the archaeology of desert viticulture, heritage horticulture management and conservation, tourism development in southern Israel (particularly with regard to local community empowerment), Negev rock art, cultural shift among marginal communities (particularly with regard to the Negev Bedouin), disaster preparation-response-and-recovery, and cultural transition.
